Matt Damon & Emily Blunt Reveal Their Daughters' CLOSE Bond
How do you like them onions? Well, for Matt Damon the answer is not so much.
In fact, the Bourne actor recently recalled his unfortunate encounter with the pungent vegetable during a kissing scene with Scarlett Johansson, who happened to snack on an onion ahead of locking lips for their 2011 movie We Bought a Zoo.
"We did a shot before lunch," he explained to Oppenheimer costar Emily Blunt in a LADbible video published July 19, "and it was like this nice little two-shot that ended in the kiss. And it was really good. And we went to lunch and she and I both thought it was over."
Unfortunately, director Cameron Crowe revealed they weren't, in fact, done with the scene upon their return from lunch.
"She ate like an onion sandwich for lunch," the Good Will Hunting actor noted. "And she came in and Cameron Crowe had set the camera up and it was like a tight shot of the kiss. And she goes, 'Oh s–t.' She goes, 'I literally just had, I had like, an onion sandwich. I thought we did this.'"

Luckily, Damon found the humor in the situation.
"I was making fun of her the entire time about her onion breath," he added, "which I didn't even smell."
Unsurprised, Blunt added, "Perfect, 'cause she's perfect."
Damon also joked that kissing Johansson "was hell."
However, while the Oscar winner may be ribbing his former costar now over her on-set snack, Johansson previously revealed the way she pranked Damon on set.
While he may have played a widower running a zoo—the Marvel star was a zookeeper—in the film, he was actually quite afraid of some of the animals they worked with during filming. In fact, she noted that he "cried like a baby" over snakes in particular.

"He was pretty terrified," Johansson told People in 2011. "He was definitely sweating a bit, and maybe the sweat formed in the corner of his eye. I said, ‘Matt, these kids are practically juggling the snakes. Hold it together.'"
